We organise plans in messaging apps every day, but our calendar is always a few taps away. This means we’re constantly hopping back and forth between apps to get plans in the calendar.
Today we’re releasing OurCal's keyboard extension for iOS and Android. This feature lets you check your secure shared calendar and add events, in any conversation from your keyboard.
No matter where you’re making plans - WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram - you can schedule plans without leaving the chat. This feature is now available in OurCal.
It’s easy to add the keyboard extension to your mobile phone. For new users, download OurCal and complete onboarding to set up your shared calendar.
Then open OurCal, and from the main calendar tab, tap the OurCal logo:
Follow the steps on your device to install the keyboard calendar.
OurCal’s keyboard extension is designed to help you coordinate your life, everywhere.
No matter what app you’re in, it’s easy to view your calendar and add new events to your calendars.
Your entire calendar is end-to-end encrypted and this remains true in the Keyboard Calendar. No matter where you use OurCal, your data will always be protected by end-to-end encryption. Also, our keyboard extension doesn't require full access to your device. This provides privacy benefits by ensuring that the extension does not have access to sensitive information such as keystrokes, passwords, or personal data.
We previously released a Keyboard Calendar feature as part of Onin, the privacy-first social calendar app. Since launching OurCal a number of Onin users have requested this feature for its ability to make scheduling in any conversation a breeze. That's why we're releasing it in theOurCal app today.
