My boyfriend and I are both single parents of kids with a lot going on. My four-year-old is special needs and has quite a few appointments. My partner's kids are in middle school and high school, and they are involved in a number of extracurricular activities; baseball, soccer, band, school play, and the list goes on. That doesn't take into consideration our own work responsibilities, travel, and personal outings/hobbies. Currently we live in different cities and trying to organize a date night, or who is where at any given time, is a hassle. I came across OurCal and it has been lifesaving. Being able to share what is on our calendars and have it seamlessly integrate with work calendars is amazing. It has improved our communication and ability to coordinate, when we need to. Lastly, it reminds us to talk about the important things going on in our lives. When my partner sees that I've input an appointment for my son and asks me about it later that night, it makes me feel seen and gives us the space to have those conversations. And vice versa.
