Not every recurring event follows a pattern. Practices, lessons, shifts, appointments — sometimes you just need the same event on a handful of specific dates. Two new features work together to make this effortless.

1. Duplicate events to multiple dates at once

A new duplication sheet lets you pick multiple dates at once, with a live preview right on your calendar. Selected dates show the new event at full opacity while existing events dim, so you can see exactly how it'll look before confirming. Duplicated events no longer have "(Copy)" appended to the title, so they look clean from the start.

2. Auto-fill suggestions from past events

Start typing in the new event auto-fill field and OurCal suggests matching events from your history — showing the emoji, title, time, duration, and location. Tap a suggestion to fill in the details instantly.

Improved subscription management

The Subscriptions screen has been redesigned with clearer sections for billing and groups, contextual help, and state-specific actions so you always know what to do next — whether that's upgrading, managing, or fixing a subscription. Unassigned or unmanaged subscriptions now surface clearly with direct actions to resolve them.

Groups that need attention now surface more prominently: blocked groups show a clear alert when you open the app, appear with a red indicator in widgets, and are included in your app badge count so nothing slips through the cracks. Billing managers also get clear warnings before a subscription expires — with a badge, a daily reminder, and a one-tap option to re-subscribe.

Smarter event bars

Building on pinch-to-zoom, event bars in the calendar now intelligently expand to show more detail as you zoom. Timed events reveal their time underneath and all-day events wrap longer titles — with busier days staying compact while quieter days get room to breathe.

In the agenda timeline, row heights are now set automatically so even a 30-minute event comfortably fits two lines — showing a time range subtitle underneath the title. Multi-day events display contextual subtitles — "starts 09:30" on the first day, "all-day" on middle days, "ends 17:00" on the last.

Redesigned widgets

The Up Next and Lock Screen widgets have been completely refreshed.

Up Next now shows a dynamic multi-day layout that fills the available space across multiple days, with medium and large widgets using a two-column layout. A bold date header shows today's date, with "Tomorrow" and upcoming days flowing below.

The Lock Screen widget now matches the style of the main app — with calendar colour pills, emoji, and member colour indicators.

Both widgets now support calendar and member filtering, so you can choose exactly which calendars and members to show. The filter picker shows colour circles and "Me" for easy identification.

Profile photo improvements

A new square crop step lets you perfectly frame your profile photo before uploading — move and scale to get it just right. You can also tap any profile photo to view it full screen. And if you don't have a photo yet, tapping your avatar takes you straight to the picker.

Default calendar

Calendars now show a "Default" label in Settings and pickers, and a default is automatically set if you haven't chosen one. To change your default, tap your avatar in the top left of the calendar → Calendars → select the calendar you want → toggle Default Calendar on.

Restore deleted calendars and their events

Accidentally deleted a calendar? No problem. Tap the calendar name in the group chat update message and confirm restore — your calendar and all its events are right back where they were.

• Synced calendars list now splits into "This Device" and "Other Devices" so you can see which syncs depend on which device
• Sync-in-progress indicator shows a spinning icon per row while a sync is running
• Synced calendars no longer need to be deleted and recreated after reinstalling the app on the same device
• Fixed recurring events breaking for users with 12-hour time format set on their device when in a 24-hour time format region

Even clearer month transitions

Building on the refreshed calendar header, the inline month labels in your scrolling calendar now show the full month and year — and grow gracefully as they approach the top of the screen. So you always know not just what month you're in, but what's coming next.

Quick event creation from the agenda

A new + button now sits at the bottom of the agenda sheet, so you can create an event without reaching to the top of the screen when the agenda is half-height — and without backing out to the calendar when it's full screen.

A refreshed calendar header

The calendar header has had a thoughtful polish. A new translucent blur — white-tinted in light mode, dark in dark mode — lets your events scroll gracefully behind it. On iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, the large month and year title scrolls vertically like a date picker as you move between months, and your avatar picks up the new Liquid Glass effect on its schedule pill and online indicator.

Beautiful new map previews

See where you're headed at a glance. Event locations now show a rich, detailed map preview right in the event screen — so you can check the spot without ever leaving OurCal.

Cancel events

Delete is now Cancel. When you cancel an event, it's clearly marked throughout the app with its title crossed out, and the chat thread stays put so everyone can see exactly which event was cancelled and keep the conversation going. Previously, deleted events just showed as "Deleted Event" with no way to tell what was actually removed.
